Career reinvention for ambitious mothers

Motherhood did not diminish you. It developed you.

The Rising MOM helps ambitious mothers recognise the leadership, standards and self-worth motherhood has built in them — then build work around the woman they have become.

For mothers who feel upgraded, under-utilised and ready to build work around a life.

The career did not change. Your standards did.

That is why work can suddenly feel different after children. Not because you are less committed. Not because you have lost ambition. Because motherhood teaches you the value of your time, your energy, your voice and your capacity.

1

Motherhood develops capability.

Prioritisation. Negotiation. Emotional regulation. Decision making under pressure. Resilience. Adaptability. These are not soft skills. They are leadership skills.

2

Motherhood raises standards.

You stop saying yes to everything. You stop carrying what was never yours. You stop wasting capability in places that do not recognise it.

3

Motherhood unlocks advocacy.

You learnt to speak up for your children. Then one day you realised the same voice was available for you. That is not becoming difficult. That is becoming powerful.

You are not less capable than before children. You are more capable than you have been taught to recognise.

What motherhood actually built

Sharper prioritisation
You know what matters because you have had to choose in real time.
Stronger boundaries
You understand capacity now. You know what deserves access to it.
More direct communication
You have practised advocating in rooms where staying quiet was not an option.
A different relationship with work
You no longer build your life around a role. You build work around a life.

The Rising MOM Framework

A grounded way to understand what has changed, what has strengthened, and what your next professional chapter needs to be built around.

01

Recognise the development

Name the capability motherhood has built: leadership, advocacy, resilience, negotiation, prioritisation and emotional intelligence.

02

Understand the standards shift

Explore why your tolerance, capacity, priorities and definition of success have changed — without making it mean you are the problem.

03

Reclaim your professional voice

Use the advocacy muscle you built for your children to negotiate, decide, challenge and lead for yourself.

04

Design work around your life

Build the model that fits who you are now: employed, promoted, consulting, pivoting or building your own business.

I built The Rising MOM because I needed this conversation and could not find it.

I know what it is to be capable, committed and externally successful — then become a mother and realise the model you were building inside no longer fits the life in front of you.

I am a career identity and matrescence-informed coach, NLP Master Practitioner, EFT tapping practitioner and former nuclear engineering submariner. My work blends lived experience, coaching psychology and leadership development to help mothers stop interpreting their evolution as a problem and start building from the truth of who they have become.

The work is not about fixing you.
It is about recognising what motherhood has developed in you — and making decisions from there.

This is for you if...

  • You feel more capable than ever, but strangely under-utilised.
  • You know motherhood has changed your standards, not your ambition.
  • You are questioning the old version of success.
  • You want work that fits your life, capacity and values now.
  • You are ready for a welcome forward, not a welcome back.

You are no longer building a career around work.

You are building work around a life. The question is not whether you are capable. The question is whether your career has evolved with the woman motherhood has developed.
